MESSAGE

Unlike novels or comics, filmmaking is an art form that carries the heavy burden of requiring significant financial investment.
Even a very small film can cost anywhere from several million to tens of millions of yen. Unless one is extremely wealthy, it is difficult to finance such an amount out of one’s own pocket. Even if support comes from friends or acquaintances, unless the project is properly developed as a business—recouping production costs and returning the investment—there will likely be no “next time.”
The same is true for the industry as a whole. If the total amount invested in production and distribution cannot be recovered, the industry will inevitably fall into a shrinking spiral.
Film is often described as the “Siamese twin” of culture and commerce—two inseparable parts joined back-to-back. Simply saying “We made a good film!” is not enough.
However, many independent filmmakers find themselves at a loss after completing a film: How do we secure theatrical screenings? How do we develop secondary uses? How do we recoup production costs?
In response to these challenges, our company assists filmmakers by helping to build business schemes from the production stage, as well as supporting theatrical release, secondary distribution, overseas expansion, and more. Our goal is to help filmmakers recover their production costs and take on the challenge of their next creation.

WORKS

Set in Kagoshima and Sakurajima, this immersive film is a project that director Takuro Ijichi spent nearly ten years bringing to completion. With minimal dialogue, it unfolds as a powerful visual poem woven through light, sound, and landscape.
The film has received high praise internationally, including a nomination in the Asian New Talent category at the 26th Shanghai International Film Festival. Jury member Shin Adachi lauded the work, saying, “Its visual beauty is overwhelming—an absolute must-see.”
The producer is Natsuka Ogawa, with narration by Yuki Izumisawa.
